Ljubljana, Slovenia

Driving from Krakow, Poland we spent one night in Graz, Austria in route to Pula, Croatia. On the second travel day we spent the afternoon doing ministry in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is a beautiful city! Lots of different architecture, colorful buildings and friendly people.

One of the cool buildings.

Kevin, Katie, Brittany & Jamie sharing with some people

Before and after the street performances, our students pray for the city, the people, and pray for the conversations going on around them with other students.

Food post

Here is what we typically eat every day:

Breakfast - Half peanut butter sandwiches, chocolate or maple malto (hot cereal) or oatmeal, bananas
Lunch - PBJ or Meat/Cheese sandwich, fruit
Dinner - here are some dishes that we have made: shepard's pie, jambalaya, tacos, chicken pasta, potato bar, soup & grilled cheese

When we go to big cities we occasionally give the students money to eat local food for dinner. During free time Rainer and I sometimes get away for a dinner date.

We love Italian food so much, we find it anytime we can...
Here we found an amazing Italian restaurant in Berlin.
(and we already did the German thing and bought a pretzel from a vendor)

Here we are in Krakow, Poland and found a cute restaurant on the square, but since it was raining we went to their indoor seating below the square.

The waiter said, "help yourself to the salad bar",
which turned out to be 4 'cole slaw' type salads...
2 were good, 2 definitely were not good.
When the waiter brought out bread, we asked it
that was butter next to it, and he said, "no, lard".

 Handmade spinach perogees!

 Steak & potatoes

Ben & Cutis making our staple = PBJ sandwiches

We have been traveling for two days, driving through Slovakia, and camping in Austria, in route to Croatia, where we will be for 4 days.

Auschwitz & Krakow, Poland

We have been very busy and traveling a lot! We spent 3 nights in Krakow, Poland. We spent one morning visiting the largest German Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau. It was an emotional day. It is good for the students and anyone really, to visit these camps and see what happened. It is unimaginable the torture and evil that went on at Auschwitz from 1941-1945. Over 1.5 million people, mostly Jews, were murdered and even more tortured.

The next day we actually got to meet up with another Royal Servants team, the Poland team. We performed with them in Krakow! It was really neat to see them again. We were right next to them at training camp in Wisconsin a few weeks ago.

Thank you for all the prayers and support! Continue to pray for good health for us and our team, good weather and opportunities for us to share the good news!
