Flooding, birthday, youth group and spring break

A couple weeks ago we had a long and terrible storm that dumped 17" of rain on Clarksdale. Our town flooded. We are fortunate our home was fine, but around 300 homes and businesses were flooded. The waters have finally gone down and now a lot of recovery and cleaning has begun. Please pray for the victims as they are going through a trying time.

Alice turned two this month!! She had a "Wizard of Oz" party and loved all the friends and family that loved on her. We are beyond blessed with a fun, smart, sweet and kind little girl. She loves to dance, play outside, experience new things with her Mama and Dada, love on her brother Mitch, and talk!

Youth group and our other ministries are in full swing and we love hanging out with students. Rainer held a "Royal Servants' Day" to recruit for our mission trips. Last week we took a couple days and had a "Spring Break" mini trip to Memphis!

It's a boy!

Mitchell Rainer Powell is here! Mitch was born at 1:15am on Friday, January 8th... on his due date! We were thrilled he was a boy! It already feels like he's always been a part of our family forever. We have been blessed by the Lord with our baby boy Mitch.

While we have been in survival mode with Mitch nursing every 2 hours around the clock, we have enjoyed visitors meeting Mitch and have been so blessed by friends and family that have taken such good care of us. We are grateful. And I'm (Lindsey) extremely grateful for my helpful and encouraging husband. From 40 weeks of pregnancy, through 30 hours of labor, delivery and weeks of little sleep and a crazy life... we couldn't do it without our Dada/Rainer.

Here's our past two months in pictures:
