How do you soothe a pepper burn?

I was cooking snacks for my friend Cali's after school program, Griot. My eye started itching, and then my eyelid started burning. And it got worse minute by minute. I finally realized I must have gotten jalapeno pepper juice on my eyelid. So with one eye shut, I googled "how to soothe a pepper burn". I spent the next 30 minutes with a milk-soaked makeup cotton pad on my eye wrapped with a bandana. ... just a story from this week

 

Rainer was asked to preach at two country churches this past Sunday. He did an amazing job and God spoke through him. It was awesome to watch him teach!

We had an amazing long weekend in Johnson City, TN. We got to see lots of friends, family and celebrate! I was given a double baby shower with my best friend Kit. Friday night we got to go to my high school football game. I hadn't been back since I graduated! Saturday morning I went with my mom and sister-in-law baby clothes shopping. Saturday night we celebrated our good friend Stephen and his fiancé Emily with an engagement party. Sunday was the baby shower and we felt so loved this weekend!

How did we get in this parade?

We had a busy week and ended it with football! We headed down to Indianola for the Lee high school football game and Rainer got to pray with the team before the game. On the way.... we accidently got in the middle of a homecoming parade! We were dodging traffic (that was backed up for the parade) and took a right turn, only to find ourselves between floats and waving at hundreds of people in Ruleville, MS! Whoops.

 We didn't have any candy to throw to the kids :(
