Going to the fair

We had another doctor's appt this week and got to see baby Powell again. It was wonderful to see the head, spine, legs and even the heart beating! A great and busy week wrapped up by a trip to the fair!

Quick trip to Fall

We went up to Minnesota and Wisconsin this past week for staff conference and it was a little chillier than Mississippi right now! We had a great time meeting with all the Royal Servants staff for the first half of the week. Everyone, including us, shared about their trips this summer - Costa Rica, China, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Ireland, Scotland, Israel and Poland. We also discussed a lot of policies and ideas for the ministry. For the Minneapolis part of the week we got to stay with our good friends Erin & Dave Buye... they were so sweet to host us once again!

The second part of the week we all drove to training camp in Wisconsin and did some work projects. It was great to be with and work with everyone!

While we were there we did our baby registry at Target,
sooooo many strollers (and everything) to choose from!!

They have great Halloween costumes,
if anyone is interested.

Here is part of the Royal Servants group one night
as we began to share our experiences from the summer.

YoungLife is back!

It's football season! We have a family fantasy football league going on 4 years now. We had the draft this week (and I finally picked up Peyton Manning!). We went to both the Lee Academy (high school) game on Friday and the Mississippi State game on Saturday.

We got the opportunity to speak during the worship service on Sunday at church about our summer and Royal Servants. We shared experiences with our team and discipling students as God grew them in their faith over the summer from fearful to boldness.

Rainer is now serving as chaplain of the Lee football team. He has the opportunity to share a devotional with the team before practice a few days a week and also pray with them on game day. I have started back with my campaigners group, which is a Bible study with YoungLife. I teach the sophomore girls. We also had our first YoungLife Club of the year this week. We had a cook out, played games and the students heard about Jesus.

It's been hot around here this week!

 Lee won on Friday night!

State & Tennessee won on Saturday- so we were both happy about that!

A game at Club- put on as many t-shirts as you can in 2 minutes!

This is the book I'm going through with the sophomore girls.
It's a great devotional about Biblical womanhood.

Happenings

We have been spending the week getting our house back in order after being gone all summer. We have also been getting back in work mode and starting back this week with our jobs and ministries. We have loved visiting with family and reconnecting with everyone in town these past few weeks after being gone. Pictures from the week:

"The church is God's invincible secret weapon that will be used to bring down the powers of darkness until Christ comes again and finally crushes all rebellion."
